Job Overview:
A New Jersey based book wholesaler is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Coordinator with book publishing experience and expertise in Freight and Logistic to join our team. The Senior Sales Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all sales-related activities, from lead generation to order fulfillment, with a deep understanding of freight and logistic activities. This role is suitable for someone who is detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, knows how to multitask and has insightful analytic skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage relationships with clients, identifying their needs, and proposing customized solutions based on their specific requests related to freight and logistics
• Coordinate all activities relating to logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
• Liaise effectively with clients, carriers, freight forwarders, and overseas suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Manage documentation, including bills of lading, vendor invoices, and freight manifests, in accordance with established procedures
• Create and maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including customer interactions, sales pipeline, and order status
• Assist with the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and contracts
• Analyze and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to the management team
• Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes and competitor activity

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related field preferred
• 10+ years of experience in sales coordination, preferably in the publishing, freight and logistics industry
• In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, including freight forwarding, customs, and the transportation industry
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to build long-term relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce
